Complete darkness is easily achieved by ensuring that there are no gaps around the window where light can enter. Easyblackout blackout kits use a new blackout material which attaches directly to hook Velcro®.  You can also use it with our suction cups (not included in this kit) to use your easyblackout when away from home.

Each kit includes: easyblackout blackout material, self-adhesive Velcro® brand hook fastener tape and instructions. All that is required in addition is a measuring tape and scissors.

Easy to use easyblackout blackout blind kit

  1. Cut the easyblackout blackout material to the shape and size required (or cut to make more than one blind).  Where possible we suggest allowing an overlap of approx. 2cm around each side.
  2. Apply the self-adhesive hook Velcro® (supplied) around the window frame.  Please note that this is suitable for upvc frames and is not recommended for wooden frames where the adhesive may pull paint away when the Velcro® is removed.
  3. Press the easyblackout blackout material against the hook velcro and hey presto, blackout!

Available in a range of sizes, simply cut to fit.  This material will not fray and does not require a hem.

Width and drop Please note that either side can be used as the width or drop, ie every kit can be used either way around.

Difference between easyblackout and original Velcro blackout? With both kits, you stick Velcro around the window frame. With the original Velcro blackout, you also stick Velcro to the blackout material, but with easyblackout there is no need to do this as this material will attach directly to the hook Velcro on the window frame. Easyblackout also works with our suction cups to make it portable or if you prefer not to stick Velcro to your window frame. The original type is a lighter material and more compact if rolled or folded between uses. In terms of blackout they are the same.  Both can be used with our magnetic tiebacks.
