easydoor blind

easydoor blind £ 4.95 In stock

Glazed and partially glazed doors can be a little tricky and expensive to cover with a blind.  This kit gives you a quick and easy blind which can be fitted in no time, and is convenient and neat.

Using blackout fabric, privacy is ensured when the blind is closed.

Self-adhesive fastener stickers hold the blind on the door.  The blind can be rolled up and held open with the straps provided, as shown.  You can also use a magnetic tieback, available separately here, for opening the blind - this gives flexibility with how little or how much the blind is open.  You can see all options in the videos to the left.

There is no sewing involved, no drills, screws or frames, and no other fittings are required.

how it works

The blind is held to the top of the door using Velcro® Brand fastener stickers as pictured - these are self-adhesive, simply remove them from the backing sheet and press in to place on the door at intervals where you would like the blind to attach.

To hang your blind, simply press your easyblackout fabric against the fastener stickers on the door.  It will attach, and can be removed and replaced whenever required.

To open your blind, you can take the fabric off the door, or you can roll it up and hold it open as follows:

Place an additional fastener sticker above the blind towards the left and towards the right edges.  Roll the blind up and use the straps included to hold it.  The straps attach to both the fabric and the fastener stickers.

with optional magnetic tieback (not included, available separately)

You can roll your blind up and hold it in position with one of our magnetic tiebacks (not included - available on our Accessories page, here).  The advantage of this is that you can decide how far you want to open the blind, whereas with the included straps the blind must be opened fully.

cutting service

We can cut your doorblind to size if you wish, although the sizes listed should be suitable for most glazed doors.

Please measure the glass pane and add at least 4cm to the height and to the width measurements - this gives a small overlap on each of the four edges which will ensure privacy.  Please note that we will cut the size you tell us, we don't add any excess.

Please make sure  your measurements are accurate as we cannot refund cut to size blinds unless we have made a mistake.  Please contact us if you would like any help or advice with this.

The smallest size we cut is 29cm in either height or width.

We normally only send offcuts if they are of a substantial size, but you can tell us in the comments box during checkout whether you wish to receive these or not.

sizes & more info.

Easydoor blinds are available in two widths and two lengths:

 Half door  standard  65cm x 110cm
 Half door  wide  75cm x 110cm
 Full door  standard  65cm x 190cm
 Full door  wide  75cm x 190cm

These easydoor blinds use easyblackout fabric which can be cut to size with sharp scissors if necessary to make a good fit - it will not fray and does not need a hem.

The adhesive we use on our Velcro® Brand fasteners is suitable for use with uPVC doors and is durable for frequent use.

Please note that the adhesive, although not permanent, is quite strong and could pull paint or varnish away from wooden doors if the finish is not sound.

'seconds' kits

From time to time, we have some easyblackout material that isn't quite perfect in appearance - it is perfectly usable, but may have some small marks so we can't sell it as 'first' stock.  We think it would be a shame to throw it away so we offer these kits at a discounted price.  It is a bargain really, because when your blackout is up, you can't see it anyway!

Only the fabric is different in seconds kits - all other included components are the same as 'first' kits.  The only difference is that there may be some small marks on the fabric (and these are often on the reverse).

All of our seconds blackout blinds and fabrics are listed on the 'Bargains' page - availability can change daily, and these do tend to be very popular, so it is worth checking regularly if there is something in particular you are looking for.

Pugzu Daddy Amazon review, 21-Nov-2021 Easy to fit. Gives perfect privacy.

We have a stable door on the rear of our kitchen. It's really handy, but means that we've never been able to fit a blind to it...until now. This blind is easy to install. Simply fix the self-adhesive velcro pads to the window or door frame. Cut the material to size and put it into position on the pads. The one side of this sticks to the velcro and holds solidly. It produces a nice tidy window covering. We finally have privacy in our kitchen after 20 years of living here. Our door has a handle on the side of the opening window, so this was easy to cut a section out. I'm really pleased with this. Although there are a coupe of creases in the material from transport, it'll be easy to iron it once we get the iron out next time. I can definitely recommend this blind. It's great value for the price and does its job well. In addition to privacy, it should also keep the room warmer
