how it works

This blackout fabric is ideal for use as curtain or blind lining.

You can also use this to make a blackout blind by affixing self-adhesive hook fastener tape to the window frame (upvc only), and self-adhesive loop tape to the fabric.  This gives a blackout blind that can be attached and removed daily, as and when required.

Fastener tapes are are available on our Accessories page

cutting service

We can cut your fabric to size if you wish - simply tick the 'cutting service' box above, and you will be prompted to enter the height and width you require in centimetres.  Please make sure  your measurements are accurate and take account of any protruding handles as we cannot refund cut to size fabrics unless we have made a mistake.  The smallest size we cut is 29cm in either height or width.

We normally only send offcuts of a substantial size, but you can tell us in the comments box during checkout whether you wish to receive these or not.

'seconds' fabric

From time to time, we have some blackout fabric that isn't quite perfect in appearance - it is perfectly usable, but may have some small marks so we can't sell it as 'first' stock.  We think it would be a shame to throw it away so we offer it at a discounted price.  It is a bargain really, because when your blackout is up, you can't see it anyway!

The only difference is that there may be some small marks on the fabric (and these are often on the reverse).

All of our seconds blackout blinds and fabrics are listed on the 'Bargains' page - availability can change daily, and these do tend to be very popular, so it is worth checking regularly if you are looking for something in particular.

The team at Easyblindsonline have been enormously helpful. I needed blackout blind material to replace the fabric in Dometic Ocean Air Blinds on my boat. The blinds are 16 years old and have a very small diameter cassette into which the fabric must roll. The original blackout fabric that I ordered was marginally too thick to fully roll into the cassette. Following very helpful email communication with the team three samples were sent for me to try. The newest fabric was 0.075mm less thick and perfectly rolled into the cassette - success. The team know their fabrics and went to great lengths to find the thinnest material for me. Thank you

I am SO pleased with my purchase. I have a piece of original blackout material up against the bedroom window. When I take it down in the morning I can feel the cold air behind it. So the fabric is definitely keeping the room warmer. Thank you
