This is the fabric used in our easynight home and portable blackout blinds.
This black blackout material is silvered on the reverse side for better light and heat reflection.
Lightweight (170g per square metre) and effective, this fabric folds to a compact size and so is great for blackout both at home and when away, just pop it in your travel bag.
Easily cut to size with sharp scissors, this fabric does not fray.

how it works
This fabric can be used to make a simple blackout blind in two steps:
First apply self-adhesive Fabric Fastener tape or self-adhesive Fabric Fastener strips (not included, available on the Accessories page) to the silver side of your easynight fabric
Then the fabric can be attached to the window with any of the following (all of these can be found on our Accessories page):
Suction cups, for attaching to the window glass
Self-adhesive Frame Fastener (hook) tape, suitable for upvc window frames
Self-adhesive Frame Fastener strips, suitable for both wooden and upvc window frames
3M Command(TM) Strips, suitable for both wooden and upvc window frames
The attachments on the blackout fabric should be positioned to correspond with the attachments on the window.
cutting service
We can cut your fabric to size if you wish - simply tick the 'cutting service' box above, and you will be prompted to enter the height and width you require in centimetres. Please make sure your measurements are accurate and take account of any protruding handles as we cannot refund cut to size fabrics unless we have made a mistake. The smallest size we cut is 29cm in either height or width.
We normally only send offcuts of a substantial size, but you can tell us in the comments box during checkout whether you wish to receive these or not.

'seconds' fabric
From time to time, we have some blackout fabric that isn't quite perfect in appearance - it is perfectly usable, but may have some small marks so we can't sell it as 'first' stock. We think it would be a shame to throw it away so we offer it at a discounted price. It is a bargain really, because when your blackout is up, you can't see it anyway!
The only difference is that there may be some small marks on the fabric (and these are often on the reverse).
All of our seconds blackout blinds and fabrics are listed on the 'Bargains' page - availability can change daily, and these do tend to be very popular, so it is worth checking regularly if you are looking for something in particular.
Really helpful advice to check and help me amend my order for the correct components. I ordered fabric and 'seconds' but could not see any flaws. Really easy to fit the velcro strips. We now have complete blackout when our grandchildren visit and need a daytime nap, and the blinds are easy to fold and store . Thank you.

Fantastic service. I didn't order the correct window attachments and immediately got an email to assist me. Then they were delivered the next day! Perfectly blackout both my sons' windows and much easier to take up and down to open the windows. I have recommended to all my mum friends

Good material & good price. PROS: • absolute blackout, doesn't let any light thru, even bright torch next to it • stays square/doesn't pull diagonally, so is easy to mark out exact shape • lightweight, so less pull on the stick-on Velcro CONS, well, one possible con: although we covered the entire panes, we didn't notice any reduction in heat in room, but this’ll be cos of nature of greenhouse effect, no fault with the material - so for keeping out heat, we recommend putting the material on the outside of the window! (so we've also got a shade sail - better but more expensive options would be an awning or even a porch roof, or best of all a balcony to the floor above that also shades the window below). I ordered the "seconds" & the only flaw was small streak of silver on black side, didn't impair performance. To mark it out (on silver side) for cutting, recommend using charcoal pencil.
Very prompt service. The flaws on the ‘seconds’ Easynight blackout material are hardly noticeable. The drawstring bag could be bigger.

First of all i think i forgot to order the self-adhesive wideloop tape/strips but they actually put me some in my order! So thanks for that alone! As for the blind i ordered a second which was cheaper than normal and only had a nick on it. Cut it to size and used the velcro to stick on my PVC and the wideloop strips to stick onto the fabric. Works a treat! I bought it as the sun shines in to my room which can make it hotter and the blackout stops this due to the silver lining facing the windows.
Excellent customer service, super fast postage ( ordered at 2pm received next day ) the quality of the material is excellent although I ordered second ( cheaper) material but its quality is still outstanding only with a few marks on the back as it is stated in description. I am very satisfied with the items. At last but not at least I solved our problem thank to easyblindsonline ! My daughter sleeps much better and for longer in the morning! No more early waking because of the sunshine! I am so relieved and happy! Thank you!

I expected an oversized package of overweight and bulky material. WOW! ... 1.45 x 3 meters weighed in at only 800gms! The blackout material is solid, blacks out perfectly and couldn't be more suitable as a lightweight solution to eliminate the light from the large windows of my studio. The price was very affordable and I can think of many other uses for this amazing fabric. I found Easyblinds by chance, and will most certainly be a returning customer. Highly recommended. Thank you!
